“Creating a brand has always been a part of who I am, even as a little girl. The world around me is a visual playground. My eyes are drawn to color and angles and to juxtaposition.
“My love of fashion and clothing led me to believe I could make a difference in the lifestyles of women and the way they dress. After a 10 year career in business, a shorter period as an interior designer and store owner, and as my dream to be a mother all materialized… I knew it was time to begin. Using my interest in mixing colors and textiles,and drawing upon my style icons of Emilio Pucci and Coco Chanel….. I created my first line for Spring/Summer 2010. With 3 years and 7 seasons completed, my learning has only just begun. Developing a signature lifestyle brand consumes every day of my life. My inspiration comes from traveling and also significantly from honing in on the past- vintage styles and classic silhouettes dominate my choices as I create. The idea that I can design a look- “a feeling” that a woman adores….” is thereal passion behind my Jules Reid line.”
