Do You Spritz? Techie Launches Speed Reading Software

A book in 90 minutes … sure, why not? That’s the premise behind Spritz, a startup company whose technology helps people read text twice as fast as normal. Spritz is a proprietary technology, and recently released its free software development kits to developers to create codes for apps and websites. You can sign up for the kits on their website, but the coding will first be available for websites, then Androids and finally iOS. Click here to sign up.

Spritz word positioningHere are some general facts about the company:

They’ve created their own verb to describe what their technology can do. Spritzing is reading text with Spritz Inc.’s patent-pending technology. When you’re spritzing, you’re reading text one word at a time in our “redicle,” a special visual frame we designed for reading.

Spritzing is simple and easy to learn immediately. Takes about 5 minutes to pick it up.

There is no special training to read with Spritz. The more you practice, the faster you will go, the smoother the reading will seem and the higher your retention will be.

Stay relax when spritzing. To be a successful “spritzer,” don’t scan the words from left to right. Simply look at the red character and trust that your brain retains the whole word.

The available spritz speeds are 250wpm, 300wpm, 350wpm, 400wpm, and so on, up to about 1000 words per minute.

You can spritz in English, Spanish, French, German, Russian and even Korean.
