The 2014 CANstruction® event was a hit this year. Team from across Palm Beach County combined their design and construction skills together to build large structures out of cans, displayed at The Gardens Mall from June 9-22. The “Sea to Shining Sea” themed designs were judged by a celebrity panel on June 12, 2014 at a cocktail party with over 250 guests. The S.S. Can Cruise was chosen as the winner, created by Suffolk Construction. All canned and non-perishable food items were donated to the Palm Beach County Food Bank to help fight hunger in the summer months.
Canstruction® 2014 competing teams include: Hedrick Brothers Construction, It! Events + Media, Leo A. Daly/The Weitz Company, Palm Beach State College Architecture Department and Architecture Club, PGAL/Kaufman Lynn Construction/Thornton Tomasetti, Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County, Suffolk Construction.
