We recently offered this beautiful Edward Hopper painting for sale at auction titled “Two Puritans”. As a native New Englander this painting brings me back to those seemingly endless, ‘dog days’ of summer spent with family and friends. Hopper spent significant time in New England as it offered him a quiet inspiring escape in contrast to his daily urban life. The simplicity in subject inspires that nostalgia from fleeting summer moments before the chill of fall creeps in.
